Take Back the Beep 3: The Search for Justice

As you’re probably aware, I’m trying to build public pressure on the cell carriers to let us turn off the insane, time-wasting, airtime-eating 15-second instructions that you hear whenever you leave a voicemail message (or check your own). As a reminder, here’s where to direct your complaints (Sprint already lets you omit them):

  • Verizon: Post a complaint here.

  • AT&T: Send e-mail to: customerissues@attnews.us.

  • T-Mobile: Post a complaint here.

Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to complain!

A number of you have suggested that we should be directing our complaints to the FCC as well (or instead). That’s a fantastic idea. In fact, reader Ruth H. has has even written out a set of painless instructions.

Go to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm.
